How to write articles to sell your book
Selling books online means that you need to get readers interested in your website or your advertisement Amazon. A great way to get people to your website is writing articles for republication.
The author of my friends asked me to share what I have learned to write articles for the Internet. I spent thousands of dollars to learn what I am about to share with you. In return, please help me grow my ezine subscriber base.
There are six categories you need to know to write the article:
1. Structure Article
This article follows a structure typical article for email delivery. Note that articles sent directly to web sites need a different format. Each website explains their individual needs.
one. Article title: (How to write articles to sell your book) You need a title that gives a benefit to the reader. There are hundreds of articles telling you how to create a sparkling way. Learn how to use keywords (more soon). My first title for this article was "How to write articles to promote your book." A stronger advantage for you, reader, is "to sell your book." Another title suggestion: change the security at the time of presentation of various web sites so you know which title is picked up more. Another title for this article could be "sell more books: How to write articles." After submitting your article, search for the title and see where it goes and that the title works better. For example, my article "Feng Shui, Design Psychology and Bed Placement" published on EzineArticles does not do as well as "Feng Shui, Design Psychology and Sleeping" posted thephantomwriters.com.
b. Article Author: (Jeanette Joy Fisher) A comment on the names: If you have not started with a website or published yet, do not use a name that can be written several ways. I would like to use another name because Jeanette can be written many ways. At least Fisher has only two spellings. I'm going to have ten sites for my book titles instead of one for me. If I used Joy Fisher, my life would be easier.
c. Copyright Article: (2005,) Do not forget all Copyright!
d. Article URL: This is the link to the website where you published your article is for preview or copy for other use.
and. Article Autoresponder: (mailto: ... @ Howtowritearti writertoauthor.com) This is an email service that automatically sends the item if you send a blank email. Click on the link and get this article in your inbox. We recommend replacing letters in the email address ... so you do not have a lot of junk mail.
The person requesting the item must fill in the blanks. This is because the search spiders email addresses on the Internet. Unscrupulous people will use them to send viruses. I lost two computers when I set up a website and that my email address.
f. Contact Author Email: (mailto: Jeanette ... @ gmail.com) Note that the joy is left out. People who send your article are obliged to inform the user, but many do not. And publish your article without signature, without links. Just accept the fact that some of your efforts will be stolen, but most of your reissues will help.
g. Word Count: Number of words in the body.
h. Formatted (65 characters per line) must TextPad or another way to keep your items formatted to 65 spaces per line - letters, commas, spaces, etc. I talked to my friend author Pamela Armstrong (SurvivingHealthcare.com) through TextPad This took a couple of hours. An easy way to shorten the lines is to sign up for gmail, yahoo or hotmail e-mail your article to yourself. When you do this, you may find that many of your words have odd signs in them - this leads to the next problem component article.
2. Item Format
Most writers use a program like Word to create their masterpieces. Word has imagination "Curly" quotation marks, apostrophes and other characters that do not transfer in intelligent e-mail and on the screens, some readers of the website. You can remove the quotes in Word, do not use the emdash and other symbols, like three periods. If you copy the Word document in TextPad, you will see black bars on problem areas and spell check will take the curly quotes. To remove the quotes in Word: go to Tools, AutoCorrect Options, AutoFormat, uncheck "Straight quotes" with "smart quotes", and the same in the AutoFormat as you type.
3. Keywords and titles of articles
The keywords are people searching for words related to your topic. When I wrote "staging Homes for Top-Dollar Sales," I had mixed keywords. There are 3,160 results for keyword search Google for "home staging" and 35,300 for "Home Staging". However, my article, "staging Homes" is listed at the top of the search and my "Home Staging" article on page two. Your goal is to use keywords in your title that people interested in the topic search and get your article listed on search engines where it is readily available.
4. Article Content
If you cut and paste information from your book, blunt writing style, make it informal and concise. Your content must be related to the performance of your book without being a sales letter. Choose a major advantage that the reader will enjoy the reading of your book. What is your answer to: "Why should I read your book?" "What do you get?"
one. Introduction or Hook: Just like home shoppers will not get from their car if no curb appeal attract them you need your first sentence to grab the reader with a benefit to read your article.
b. Body: web readers need short paragraphs full of BENEFITS. You must give a strong reason as to why a stranger to want to read. Continue to give reasons why the information gives answers to their problems. PAIN. Feel the pain and offer solutions of the reader. Your title should open the way for this with something like: "Change your credit and buy your first home." STORIES. Use stories to illustrate the pain felt by your target audience. For example, tell the story of a family fixing their credit and bought a house.
c. Headings and subheadings: Use other keywords to break your article with subheadings. This makes your article easier to read online. Tip: Before you start writing your article, confirm the presence of keywords and make a reference list to cover in your article.
d. Conclusion: Even when you write a list, such as "Top 10 Ways to Save", you should conclude with a summary inspiration. Want to leave the reader wanting more so follow the link to your site.
5. About the Author resource box, bio, biography
I have seen many articles on this topic one, there's probably a book on it. Examine how expert writers to create motivating calls to action. Your aim is to show that you are the expert with the solution to the problems of the reader. Your goal is to get the reader to follow the link for the help. Refusing to list your articles where you will not receive a live link to your website or to your page of a book on Amazon.
6. Send article
You can submit your articles through the services of distribution of the articles for a fee, by email to groups of items free ads, or directly to hundreds of sites online. One way to find websites that match your niche market is to do a Google search, such as "investment property" + "submit article". I use Bill Platt thephantomwriters.com service and EzineArticles.com. From these two services, my articles have appeared on over 11,000 websites. I just do not have the time to submit to all the other places.
If you write an interesting article in the correct format, the message will be picked up by ezine publishers, webmasters, and perhaps newspapers. And, like me, you sell your books.
