Importance of Off-Site Optimization
A few years ago, web developers or SEO experts only need to concentrate their efforts on "On-Site Optimization". This means that he needed to appropriate meta tags, create a map of the site, they needed their photos to be properly labeled and link their pages throughout the site. Only 5-7 years ago, that he would get on the front end of the research related to their site content.
Today is a different story. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is made out of your site is more important than SEO is done on site nowadays. What I mean is because of the sophistication of search engines today, there are many more factors that go into the SEO equation for "Above the fold" organic positioning. I hear the most powerful factors have to do with "Off-Site Optimization" Do not get me wrong, if you're content is not related to the research you are going to, will be much more difficult to obtain these results, it is possible.
So what is off-site optimization anyway? Off site optimization is all the work you can do to promote your site without doing anything for the site. Things like building backlinks concerned, using social networking to increase traffic, and submissions videos are just some examples of off-site optimization.
Backlinks: Think of search engines to judge each website as if it were a popularity contest. Each backlink to a website that counts as a vote. As a search is submitted to a search engine, you pick the sites that have relevant content and those who rank them accordingly to the votes they receive (number of backlinks). Now the anchor text madness adds even more to the equation. If you have text anchor point your domain with the keyword or phrase you're trying to find, that the vote has more weight than a regular backlink. At the end of the day, if you had a million backlinks with anchor text reading "parts" BMW is a good chance that it would be among the top three results for that search term regardless of the content of this page.
Tip: Join a forum or a discussion forum on your services or products and start adding useful posts. Links to your site in your post or signature.
Social Networking: With all the buzz with Twitter and other social networking sites, now is the time to take advantage of traffic that can be developed. Just create an account and write some posts is not going to do the trick. You must be creative, just like anything else in his campaign and create enthusiasm for the service or project. Offer discounts, links to blog posts that then link to your site or some larger companies are also using social networking sites as a form of customer service. Everyone has a technical or social networking, many are bad, but there are some that are good and excellent job.
Tip: Create a LinkedIn page and add as many professional organizations in your area and send them a message about your services and offer a discount.
Video contributions: You may be wondering what to create, edit and send a video would be dealing with the optimization of search engines, but there are many advantages. First, a video is a good way to connect with potential customers. A client testimonial will give you credibility, while a message from an employee or owner will create a sense of confidence.
There are large video files out there, maybe you've heard of YouTube.com or Viddler.com? More and more people are using these sites to host videos, create commercials for the company and increase traffic to their website. Recently, on YouTube.com just passed the 100 billion video views in a month, pretty dang impressive.
Geek.com reports on YouTube.com Yahoo © overcome by taking the number 2 search engine. Do not you think it's time to start taking advantage of the traffic? Make sure you have a video on YouTube.com that points to your website.
Tip: When you create a video on YouTube, you have the ability to put in keywords. Use this to your advantage and attract more viewers looking for your services ...
