How pregnancy was achieved with a method that increases your chance?

Already tried everything possible to get pregnant, starting from the common and natural way to get to receiving infertility treatments, when you discovered that unfortunately suffer from fertility problems and questions as you get pregnant.

The good news is that related to today there are a variety of alternative treatments for a woman to get pregnant. Just a matter of proper information and of course, always be advised by a specialist in the field.

Among the various methods that help to get pregnant is ovulation induction. But how pregnancy is achieved with this method?

The primary goal of induction is to mimic the natural process by which a woman's body produces an egg, when for various reasons not generated naturally. Applying an anti-estrogen medication and gonadotropins, it seeks to stimulate the hypothalamus to act on another gland called the pituitary gland that is generating the hormones that trigger ovulation.

The drug most commonly used for this procedure is clomiphene citrate, which is administered orally for 5 days, from the fifth day of the menstrual cycle. The advantages of this drug are its low cost and effectiveness, although in some cases can cause side effects such as hot flashes and visual disturbances.

The ovulatory process is monitored by ultrasound guidance, especially to try to rule out multiple ovulation, in which case pregnancy should be banned because of all the risks that come with a multiple pregnancy.

For more severe cases of lack of ovulation, known as anovulation, apply synthetic drugs such as gonadotropins alone or in combination with luteinizing hormone (LH). Gonadotropins are applied subcutaneously or intramuscularly, and as in the case of the application of clomiphene, the process is monitored with ultrasound and hormone tests to rule out any risk of multiple pregnancy.
